Physical Description:[edit]
Josh is tall with waist long red curly hair which she usually wears in a long pleat down her back, with the odd curl escaping here and there. She has fairly pale skin with the usual freckles associated with a redhead scattered across her cheeks. She is thin for her height, especially with regard to her arms and legs.

Nicknamed Josh (her maiden name was Jennifer Olivia Susan Herries), Josh is widowed with one son. Her husband was Donald Caskie and her son is called Iain. Her parents, Margaret and Robert Herries have six children of which Josh is the third. She has three brothers and two sisters. Calum, David, Margaret, Isabel and Duncan. Her mother is an MD, heading the practise in Orkney that Josh used to work for and her father although a qualified Genetitcist prefers to spend his time running the family croft there.

Josh attended Kirkwall Primary and then Kirkwall Secondary until she was 18. She achieved 'O' levels in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, History and Geography. She then went on to pass her Highers, ('A' Levels) in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English. She earned a place at Edinburgh University to study medicine where she spent her time gaining her MD and carried on her studies to include Forensic Medicine.
Pre Starfleet:[edit]
At Edinburgh University she met and married Donald Caskie. They had a son, Iain when Josh was 23. Not long after Iain was born Donald joined Starfleet as a Medical Officer and Josh took Iain back to Orkney to live with her family. She ended up joining one of the two main general medical practices on the main island and a year after coming back was asked, because of her background, to work as the main coroner for the islands. Given the amount of deaths on Orkney, this didn't exactly entail much work or tax Josh but it did give her the ability to keep up with her forensic studies. Five years later, when Iain was six, Donald's ship disappeared and was declared missing, presumed destroyed, reason unknown. Josh stayed on in Orkney with her family until Iain was ready to go to University. Since he was interested in Oceanography he enrolled at the Ballard Institute and once Iain had settled there Josh decided that she could move on and do something more with her life. She enrolled in Starfleet and has spent the last four years at the Academy.

On Stardate 2408.03.15 Josh was instructed to undergo Command Training at Starbase Geneva and was promoted to Lt Cmdr. and FO of the Rosenante

Josh loves messing about in small boats, (two people skulls). Loves skiing and mountain climbing. She cooks, but simply as a hobby since as a doctor she doesn't have to time to do it properly. Josh has quite a wicked sense of humor.

Josh is a competent doctor and has a degree in Forensic Medicine and has spent some of her time in Orkney working as the local coroner.
