Nequencia-Alpha System
The Nequencia-Alpha System is a Federation controlled star system that is located a few Light Years from the Romulan Neutral Zone. It is home to the forward resupply base Starbase 989. The base was originally built and operated by the Andorians prior to their arranging for it to be utilized by Starfleet.
The system has a Class G Main sequence star, but has only one planet which is classified as Class J. That planet has two moons both of which are classified as Class L.
The star system is incapable of supporting life without artificial habitats and the Starbase is the only semi permanent structure in the system.
Because of it's position, the system is often visited by Merchants plying the Federation- Romulan trade routes opened up by the ratification of the recently revised Treaty of Algeron.
In 2407, the USS Hades visited this system in order to convey Ambassador Jericho Nolan to Romulus
