Rhone Union
The Rhone Union is a political and geographical area located on the planet Irlix. It's Capital City is Khoda City.
The Union is located on the largest continent of the planet and dominates the majority of that land mass. The Union is home to roughly 130 million inhabitants and is the largest on the planet.
Prior to 2393, the Rhone Union was known by the name The Gab Union. It was not until after the crash of the Akira Class starship, the USS Medea, in 2393, and the subsequent breaking of the Prime Directive by Ono Nakamura that the current name was adopted.
In 2413, when the USS Rosenante visited the planet to rescue some hostages taken from the USS Bohrs, the government of the Rhone Union was a Dictatorial State under the iron command of Khoda Rhone for whom the Union is named.
However, actions by the Rosenante crew revealed Khoda Rhone to be Ono Nakamura a Federation officer who had purposefully corrupted the Irlixian culture to suite his own desires.
Because of the extreme cultural damage done by Nakamura, Captain Salid, with the support of the Federation Federation Diplomatic Corps aided the Irlixians in establishing a provisional world government headed by Ios Malinae who aided the Rosenante crew during their rescue operation.
Other major political powers on the planet include, The United Confederation of Mol, The Banok Empire and the Nuveric Republic.
