Species 10026
Species 10026 was the designation for a species that was assimilated by the Borg in 2375. Their civilization's homeworld had 392,000 individuals and advanced spacecraft. The inhabitants of that world sent their vessels to intercept the Borg when they began assimilation. At first Species 10026 used a modulating phaser pulse to successfully damage the Borg attackers. With Seven of Nine's help the Borg Queen tiaxilated the Borg ship's shield geometry to absorb the pulses, thus ending the chances of a defense for the Species.
Witnessed by former Borg Drone Seven of Nine, the entire species was assimilated by drones from two Borg Cubes. With Seven's help, one ship with four individuals (including one partially assimilated individual) escaped the devastation, but was noticed by the Borg Queen. It was caught in a Tractor Beam, but was eventually released after Seven pleaded with the Queen. (VOY: "Dark Frontier")
