Stenophyle

A stenophyle is a particular solid pellet that is inserted subdermally. It's purpose is to release a specific drug over a long period of time, which can be determined by the attending physician. They are usually used for long term radiation treatment or for long term repair of drugs designed to slow or reverse cellular degradation.
