Terrah
Senator Terrah was a member of the Romulan Senate with a lengthy career in Romulan politics. He had been in public service since he was a young man and as of 2407, a senator for nine decades. Early in his life, Pardek was present at the several peace talks between the Federation and the Klingon Empire.
In 2407, after Vrih assumed the Praetorship of the Romulan Star Empire, Senator Terrah put into play a diabolical plan by which the USS Hades would be lured to Romulus under the auspices of a renegotiation of the Treaty of Algeron, and then be framed for the assassination of the Praetor. Through further manipulations, involving misleading members of the Continuing Commitee, he would then assume control of the Empire and usher in a new Era of hostilities with the UFP.
Terrah, could have been successful, if the crew of the Hades had not uncovered his plot and that action, coupled with the betrayal of his chief supporter Chairman Vaebn of the Tal'Shiar, left Terrah's plans revealed and his attempted coup unsuccessful. Terrah was executed by the Vrih in his chambers during the failed coup.
Ironically, the Treaty of Algeron was renegotiated and it ushered in a new era of peace between the Romulan Star Empire and the United Federation of Planets.
