Thalmerite

Thalmerite is a highly explosive compound. Federation starships typically carry thalmerite.

The Klingon vessel IKS Toh'Kaht was destroyed by a thalmerite explosive device placed near its reactor core shortly after its passage through the Bajoran wormhole. (DS9: "Dramatis Personae")

In 2371, the USS Voyager carried at least forty tons of thalmerite. They placed the compound in a shuttlecraft to lure a Numiri patrol ship in a plan devised by Tuvok. Captain Kathryn Janeway mentioned the destructive capabilities of the explosives to the Numiri captain and threatened to use it in order to retrieve the shuttle. (VOY: "Ex Post Facto")
