USS Hypatia
The USS Hypatia is a Federation starship serving in Starfleet. The ship is a vessel of the Sovereign Class and was active during and after the Federation Civil War. The Ship served in the 1st Defense Fleet, Black Watch commanded by Admiral Lydia Stakes. The ship was an active participant for the battle of Sector 001, where she aided in the defense of the Mars Defense Perimeter.
Her role in the battle put her in direct opposition to the Ships of the 52nd Fleet and specifically Task Force 19. She was engaged in direct conflict with the USS Champlain. When Admiral Stakes changed sides in the battle, the Hypatia, followed suit and ambushed the USS Majesty. The Majestic was crippled and her Captain, Uru Mtenga, killed. When the USS Champlain abandoned ship, the Hypatia picked up the survivors.
After the battle had concluded, the Hypatia was temporarily commanded by Captain Susan Rivers and First Officer Commander Ahmed Ibn Salid.
The ship was given the inglorious duty of wreckage recovery and rescue work until she could be repaired at Starbase Valhalla.
