Zeta Draconis System
The Zeta Draconis System is a star system located in the Beta Quadrant just inside the borders of the Romulan Star Empire. The system is dominated by a Sol type star, but never formed any planets.
Instead, there is a mass of asteroids filling the system, which are well known for their rich mineral content, including Duranium and Magnesite. Although resource rich, the system is not of strategic importance and remains inhabited. The asteroids are mined by independent mining and freight vessels such as the Moarvol.
In 2414, the Tellarite owned Moarvol was in the system mining magnesite when they unknowingly attracted the attention of a swarm of Vexarak Spoilers.
That infestation was later carried to Starbase 989.
The Zeta Draconis was first mentioned in the USS Rosenante and USS Bouddica joint mission Just Another Saturday Night
