23th Task Force

History

With the Civil War over and the curiosity for the Subspace River diminishing, Starfleet decided to return to the core values that had led the Federation to become the vast and united political organization it had become : exploration. Under the new leadership of Admiral Jopek, the 52nd Fleet was reorganized to accomplish this new role. The 23th Task Force, one of three task forces, was created, formed by all the ships that composed the 52nd Fleet first Task Force back during the Civil War along with several new science vessels of the Intrepid, Nova, Luna and Nebula classes.

The 23th Task Force mission? To continue exploration of Sector 6309 as well as maintain close surveillance and protection of the Federation border with the Romulan. To explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before.
