USS Lakota
The USS Lakota (NCC-42768) is a Federation Starship of the Ambassador Class.
In 2403, during the Federation Civil War, the ship was in a forward observation station near the Orion Nebula, not far from Andoria. The ship was a 52nd Fleet vessel and was captained by Captain Ashley Carter.
In late 2403 the Lakota captured Baylon Trinin, after the partisan, ex-Starfleet officer, escaped from custody aboard the USS Larson. He was carrying critical intelligence to the 52nd Fleet.
Trinin had been hiding from the Larson inside the Orion Nebula for almost thirty days before he had decided to leave the safety of the nebula and head for the section of space controlled by the 52nd fleet.
He encountered the Lakota three days later, and turned himself over without a fight. Baylon was debriefed by Starfleet Intelligence and was treated by the Larson's medical crew for some minor malnutrition and other minor injuries caused by his torture aboard the Larson.
Eventually, the Lakota carried him to Starbase Geneva where Baylon was reinstated as a Starfleet officer.
