USS Persephone
The USS Persephone was a Federation starship serving in Starfleet. The ship is a vessel of the Sovereign Class and was active during and after the Federation Civil War. The ship served in the 1st defense Fleet commanded by Admiral Doenitz. The ship was an active participant for the battle of Sector 001, where she aided in the defense of the Mars Defense Perimeter.
Her role in the battle put her in direct opposition to the Ships of the 52nd Fleet and specifically Task Force 19. She was engaged in direct conflict with the USS Champlain and alongside the USS Hypatia is credited with the destruction of that vessel during the battle. The ship was destroyed during the battle when the crippled USS Champlain rammed her after she had sustained irreparable damage. The ship was manned by a skeleton crew which included Captain Susan Rivers and First Officer Commander Ahmed Ibn Salid. She was destroyed with all hands.
